We began in 1990 as a janitorial and maintenance product distribution company, but we soon recognized an ongoing need across all markets for bundled products and services. In response, we developed a certification program that trains and certifies management and personnel involved in facilities maintenance, cleaning and related services.
The Solv-All StoryIn 1990, Scott Marincek was working as a chemist for a janitorial and maintenance supply company in Cleveland. His employer's major customers were faced with a problem every time they tried to find cleaning products that were both environmentally preferable and effective.
Scott knew these problems could be solved by modifying a few ingredients in many cleaning solutions but his employer rejected the idea. However, Scott believed he was on the right track, so he wrote the name "Solv-All" on the side of a plastic bottle of the solution and decided to market the product himself. Solv-All, Inc was incorporated in 1991 and began to search for and develop a wide range of improved cleaning solutions.
Scott's goal for each was a formulation that was environmentally preferable and would work as well as, or better than, competing products. Sales and distribution grew rapidly as Solv-All solved problems for janitorial services, automotive, transportation and retail firms. These companies challenged Scott to improve the products they used. Scott not only came up with better products, he dramatically improved distribution and supply methods. At the same time, he expanded the Solv-All product line to include tools and equipment.
Over the course of 10 years, Solv-All, Inc. became a leading nationwide supplier, with some 3300 products available. As the new century dawned, experts at Solv-All, Inc saw a new need: many janitorial and facility maintenance providers were using less than optimal products, tools and procedures, and lacked the training and technology to service their customers properly. Solv-All knew the market, the products and how to clean commercial buildings the best way. It had superior technology, management and distribution capabilities.
